I had the pleasure of reviewing Mallory’s Marvelous Muffins because they not only have the typical occasion baskets (such as holiday, get well, bereavement, congratulations, thank you, specific corporate baskets and many more) but they also have autism awareness baskets.
They have many flavors of muffins, cookies, and coffee cakes. They even have customized gluten-free baskets available. Mallory’s Muffins do not always bake the exact same flavors each day so but they do their best to meet all requests for flavor selections. The flavors also change with the seasons.
My basket came with a large slice of coffee cake, a brownie and four different muffins. I ate the entire pina colada and admit that I didn’t want to share with anyone because it was delicious. Then, I preyed on my children’s choices. I had a bite of the coffee cake which was moist and flavorful, as well.
The owner of Mallory’s Marvelous Muffins named her muffin shop after her daughter that is on the spectrum in hopes to have something to pass down to her daughter. Now Mallory is a young lady and is on the Board of the Fill-A-Need Foundation. I know this isn’t the typical reviewed product for Autism Parenting Magazine, but thought that it was a perfect example of how if we all use our individual talents to raise awareness then soon single voice will become a sounding board of knowledge that the world will no longer ignore.
