2024 Contributor Awards
Introducing this year's Contributor Award winners.
Dear Readers,
January is a time for new beginnings and a fresh start when people plan to do, feel, and live better. As parents, we want to see our children grow and thrive and often wonder how we can help them achieve that. Often, the best way to do that is by changing our habits for healthier choices.
For parents with a child on the spectrum, simple acts like skipping that extra chocolate chip cookie during stressful moments or ensuring our children get enough sleep can be challenging and exhausting. It’s so much easier to choose the dessert over the decathlon.
This month's theme is “Healthy Habits: Live Well and Flourish,” and Karen Kaplan explores this theme in "Healthy Choices for Everyone," explaining how simple changes can benefit the whole family.
Proper nutrition and good sleep are essential for feeling our best, and Brittany Landy and Robyn Sajeski share valuable insights in “The Impact of Diet on Sleep.” We also examine how mental health shapes our overall well-being in Ron Sandison's article, “From Hopeless Complex to Hope: Overcoming Anxiety and Depression.”
Being healthy starts with a choice. Hopefully, you and your families connect over your common choices to “Live Well and Flourish.”
Warm wishes for a healthy and thriving start to the new year.
