Dr. Lamar Hardwick is a proud husband, father, and pastor. After years of struggling with social anxiety, sensory processing difficulties, and a host of other complex issues, Lamar was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s syndrome, in 2014 at the age of 36. Today, he uses his platform as a pastor to serve as an autism advocate, mentor to teens and young adults on the spectrum, and an autism educator by providing workshops and training sessions to churches and other faith-based organizations. He is a regular contributing writer to several autism awareness and disability sites such as The Mighty, Autism Speaks, and Huffington Post, to name a few.
