A common problem for parents with autistic children is to find the right resources. There is a lot of conflicting and debatable information out there. At Autism Parenting Magazine we aim to provide you with the most current information and interventions about Autism so that you can make the most informed decisions about what will benefit your child.

In addition to special guest articles from medical professionals and authorities in the world of Autism, the magazine is primarily written by parents for parents. We also value articles written by individuals on the spectrum. Articles come in the form of helpful parenting advice as well as real life stories incorporating successful strategies.

Our Autism Magazine is suitable for parents of children with Asperger’s, PDD-NOS or Kanners Autism. We also have a number of parents who have ASD .

The magazine provides information on subjects such as:

  • Dealing with sensory issues
  • Developing social skills
  • Special education
  • Behavioral issues
  • Dealing with bullying
  • Helping teenagers transition
  • Mitigating meltdowns
  • Sensory processing issues
  • Autism in the news
  • Real life stories from parents
  • Getting support
  • Treatment options
  • Transitioning from childhood to adulthood
  • Handling change
  • Success stories about children with ASD

Each issue also comes with Question & Answer section where parents can ask relevant questions and get expert answers. We also include a special Sensory Corner in each of our issues, because we believe Sensory Issues are a core part of Autism Spectrum Disorders. Behavioral issues and meltdowns can often be resolved by understanding and learning to work with sensory issues. It’s such a large subject that we have plenty to write.

Following some recent feedback from readers, we also included a “Teenage to Adult” section in order to help children with Autism transition from children to adulthood. There is also a puzzle game in each issue that you can use to entertain your children.

Who are we?
